Sorry, Hampton
First of all, grovelling apologies to Hampton for having been a bit slack on the blog-side of things. Sorry, Hampton.
I do have some news to share now though. Mum and I went up to the big smoke on Friday to visit both the The Little Shoe Shop and my neurosurgeon, Chris Chandler. The shoe shop was unfortunately no good for me, despite a good range of shoes. I think I must be a 12 1/2, cos most 13s are just a bit too big. If anyone out there wants to make me some fabulous shoes, then please do. Or, if its easier to simply knock shoe manufacturers’ heads together, that would be nice too.
Happier things in the shape of Chris were next and I’m now signed off from him unless I need him. I haven’t had any fits since March 2000 (feel free to knock on wood) and I’m also coming off my anti-wibble tablets over a period of three weeks. However, he says I can stay on the cocaine if I want. I’m pleased to be without the trip up to London every 1-2 years, but I shall miss seeing Chris as he’s such a nice guy. I’ll just have to be content with tuning in to the BBC’s City Hospital and watching him throw other people’s brains about.
Mr Jack O’ Lantern is a homemade evil spirit defier. A while ago, I found that a pumpkin had grown on the crappy vine in the front garden without my noticing it. I didn’t pollinate it myself, so that one’s down to the bees. It’s only a tiny one, so I kept it specifically for today and spent a while carving my self-portrait into it this morning.
I’ve also been messing about in the garden with Ma and Pa. We (that’s a very royal ‘we’) are still working on the new bit of garden we’ve gained from getting rid of the hedge and having the fence put up and I finally had to get cold and dirty today as my little pond in the gravel garden needs renovating. It needs a reshuffle as you can now walk round it, where one side was against the hedge before. It’s also been a bit bruised and battered during the demolition of the hedge.
Mum and I emptied it of several inches of shit and corruption and foul-smelling gravel and saved the stones I wanted. Now I’ve got to finish rebuilding it and also find a nice place for the rock Suzy brought me from her holiday in Greece. At the minute it’s shining out like a star as it’s so pale and sun-bleached compared to the grey-green rocks around it. “I’m from greece!” it seems to shout.
What else? I’ve got some work through KipperTie for Metal Monkey. One of their clients need some videos transcribing and although it’ll probably be slightly brain-destroying work, I’m glad to have another Metal Monkey job in the pipeline. Ooh, and the website for my business is finally up and running. I’d been putting it off for yonks, but it’s now there for all to enjoy it’s green glory.
My birthday is 12th November. Just thought you should know.
