The last day of 7 Days. Today Suzy, Lauren and I headed up to London in the fog and rain. Our main objective was to visit the London Aquarium (to be blogged later), but first of all we headed to Borough Market to introduce Suzy to its sights and smells and - most importantly - free samples. I bought another slice of ComtĂ© cheese and a pot of red olive tapenade and all three of us bought a slice of the chocolate “female Viagra” from the crazy Italian guy Lauren and I had encountered on our previous visit.
Lunch was eaten at a cafe just outside the market. A big pot of paella was being tended to on a stove outside the building and looked too delicious to turn down. While we waited for our servings to be dished up, the Spanish guy in charge of the food held forth on politics and the national character of the British, as well as how we were all going to be screwed when America abandoned us. Good to know.

The inevitable happened … I completely lost track of time today on account of being late to bed, late to rise, late to lunch and even later to dinner. I’m not sure I did a great deal of work, but I did do an awful lot of catching up in the 7 Days pool. Suddenly it was the end of the evening, I hadn’t come up with anything good at all for 7 Days and I was clicking away desperately hoping that inspiration would strike. Instead, I think I’ve strained something in my back. In searching for a portrait, I’d wondered if a pic of me doing a headstand would be entertaining. Turns out, it’s not. It also turns out that doing a headstand or three when you haven’t done them in a while makes your back hurt. Dammit all, I’m going to bed.

So, early this morning I had to get up early and go to Vienna on the train. Did I mention that it was early? Need I remind you that it also felt like an hour earlier for me? Anyway, train to Vienna - first class carriage, thank you kindly. Meeting with various ladies with whom I had previously only communicated via email and then back on the train. It’s about a quarter past nine over here now and I’m knackered. No idea what the plan is for tomorrow. As long as it doesn’t involve getting up early, it’ll be ok.
Thank you all for keeping 7 Days going so well while I’m away. I thought I was going to have more time to administer the group and admire your pics as you posted them, but it hasn’t worked out that way. I’ll be back on Thursday and hope to catch up a bit then.
