a day without hyperbole is a day wasted

7 Days: Day 7 – Gone to the zoo

A day out at the zoo with Lauren. We saw all sorts and so once I have been through the hundreds of photos no doubt I’ll be flooding my stream with all kinds of crazy animals.

Thanks for another amazing week, you guys and gals. I’m currently incredibly behind on going through the pool, but I’ll catch up soon! Then I’ve got to make the traditional mosaic. Do you realise how many of us there were this time?!

(and don’t you just love how Lauren and I simultaneously wrote pretty much the same thing under our respective photos? Except she offers moderation in posting and I do not)

7 Days: Day 6 – Webbing

Aah, that’s better: a bit of web work and translating. It’s been a rather a shock to the system since Hubert’s tour ended. After a summer of 7-day work weeks, suddenly there was bugger all to do. But he’s off on tour again next week, so – rejoice! – there’ll be a pile more work.

7 days: Day 5 – Public/Private

I usually have something to say about my day when I post a shot. But as my day had not yet begun when I took this, there’s not much more to add.

7 Days: Day 4 – The real reason I grow vegetables…

They make good moustaches. This is the first carrot I’ve harvested. I knew he’d only be a diddly one (7g) as I just wanted to get him out of the way of a couple of bigger ones. Why can’t soil be transparent to satisfy my curiosity as to how well the carrots are doing?

7 Days: Day 3 – On the M25

Taken on the M25 motorway as John drove us homeward from our photography job in Berkshire. He took photos of a company’s employees while I got a nice bit of bureaucracy going with a table of everyone’s names and what shot numbers they were. To really make it look professional and awesome I added WordArt and clipart in Word. It looked special.

With that job done John had a few errands to run, including returning some big theatrical drapes to a business based at Shepperton Studios. As we passed a studio we even had a celebrity sighting, which I brought to John’s attention with “Aaargh … Thingy! … June Whitfield!” I like to think she’d have been touched.

7 Days: Day 2 – Action

Whizzing about on my bike. Or, in this case, wobbling about on the pavement as I try to take a photo at the same time. All the while motorists pass me on the road, quite possibly thinking that I’d have an easier time of it if I just put the damn camera away.

7 Days: Day 1 – Emptying the compost bin

Alternative title: Day 1 – Waiting for you all to make fun of me and my compost. I’ve emptied it out of the bin onto a sheet in the garden. The plan being to mix it up a bit, give the birds a chance to eat the ants (but leave me the worms!) and let the extra damp bits dry up a bit before it all gets dumped back into the bin again. My second plan for the day needs to be not to keep fiddling with it, because I’m wearing my nice clothes now and I’ll be cross if I get them dirty. Don’t you ever learn, you muppet?

The new run for the self-portrait group 7 Days starts today – come and join the fray fun!
