A change of scenery
16 March 2009
I’m getting very confused as to where I might be sleeping at any given moment this week. Tonight I’m going to Lauren’s to stay the night so that we’re both in the same place tomorrow when it’s time to head to Ebbsfleet for the Eurostar. This means that I can indeed get off my backside and go up pack up my polishing and preening devices now, because I need to take them with me this evening. And doing it now would be a good idea, because there’s still another half hour or so before any ships return to port in Ikariam.
Tomorrow night I’ll be back in my own bed. Unless of course Lauren loses me in Lille. We have already discussed this and it’s quite simple. If she does, she’ll just slip out of the back exit when she gets back to Ebbsfleet, so as not to run into my parents. Job done.
With any luck I’ll be back online here on Wednesday before I head to Salzburg the next day. I should at least be able to report back on whether John’s right or not. He reckons we don’t get to France on a train that goes through a tunnel under the sea. That’s just a silly notion. No, instead it’s simply like being at the theatre: the lights go down, there’s a bit of scraping and banging as the scenery is changed and then the lights come up and TA DA! Le singe est sur la branche.

Oh Sarah, you crack me up. If she loses me. . . and the French after the end of the tunnel. You are so funny. Have a great trip.

I will be looking forward to seeing pictures of that! (Proof, of course!) A train that goes under the ocean… sounds like quite an experience to me!

So…here it is Wednesday, and it’s really Wednesday over there, actually it might almost be Thursday, I’m too lazy to do the math, and you aren’t here. Does that mean she lost you? That’s a stupid question, isn’t it? If she had lost you, you wouldn’t be able to answer because of you being lost. Although, I am thinking you would find your way back eventually, right?

Hee hee, sorry for troubling your mind so, but yes I am here. But I haven’t had time to blawg anything. Maybe I’ll be able to catch up while I’m in Salzburg, but I’m not quite sure what the plan is there yet.
Meanwhile you could make a start on the Lille photos if you want!:
